Equality....

What's all that about then?

It would seem to me that the more people bang on about equality, the less equality there seems to be in the world. Take the UK for instance, in this country we have a real asylum problem whereby there has been a massive influx of Kurds, Iraqi's and other such groups coming in under claims of 'fleeing tyranny' or other such hardships, and apparently with little more than just the shirts on their backs!

Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for equality but it would seem that in the UK anyway, some people are more equal than others. Let me explain:-

To me, equality is everyone on an equal footing with equal rights and equal chances to succeed in any given area. Explain to me then why an asylum seeker can come into this country and go to the front of any queue that he cares to join. I have personally seen this in action so just in case any council official or government officer comes in and says 'ah yes, well that's not really the case...' etc etc......

Bollocks! It is the case.....

I know of born and bred English people that have been on our housing lists for years and not got one single sniff of a property, in comes a Muslim or other such ethnic minority though and six months later (or less), he's got himself a nice little house. Add to that the allowance to buy a car that our government gives him, plus the free mobile phone and the free credit given to him to phone his family at home in god knows what part of the world at god knows what phone rate, and you can see why I feel equality has died a death in the UK.

There is an area in Plymouth that now goes by the name 'Kurdish corner', I walk through it often and when I do, I am confronted with at least fifteen of these apparently destitute, but oft times immaculately dressed gold laden individuals loitering about, and glaring at any passer-by who gives them anything more than just a fleeting, cursory glance. Parked immediately next to them are their cars, no falling to bits knackers like my twenty one year old Volvo for these people, no, these are expensive Beemers, Mercs, 4X4's and sports cars!!!

Something tells me they ain't so poor after all and they definitely have more than just the one shirt they supposedly arrived in.

So let's move on now to racial equality....

Pfft! Err, I don't think so. You can only be a racist if you are white these days. Why do I feel this? Read on.....

Michael Richards is better known as Kramer from TV's Seinfeld series. This was his defence speech in court after making supposedly racial comments in his comedy act. I think that he makes some very interesting points.

He said : I'm proud To Be White, there, someone finally said it.

How many are actually paying attention to this ? There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans, Arab Americans, etc. And then there are just Americans. You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction. You Call me 'White boy,' 'Cracker,' 'Honkey,' 'Whitey,' 'Caveman' ... and that's OK. But when I call you, Nigger, Kike, Towel head, Sand-nigger, Camel Jockey, Beaner , Gook, or Chink . You call me a racist.

You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you, so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live ? You have the United Negro College Fund. You have Martin Luther King Day. You have Black History Month. You have Cesar Chavez Day. You have Yom Hashoah. You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi. You have the NAACP. You have BET.

If we had WET (White Entertainment Television) we'd be racists. If we had a White Pride Day, you would call us racists. If we had White History Month , we'd be racists. If we had any organization for only whites to 'advance' OUR lives we'd be racists. We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce. Wonder who pays for that?

A white woman could not be in the Miss Black American pageant, but any color can be in the Miss America pageant. If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships you know we'd be racists. There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US . Yet if there were 'White colleges' THAT would be a racist college.

In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists. You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.

You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug-dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist. I am proud. But you call me a racist. Why is it that only whites can be racists?

Umm, nuff said methinks....

Of course, you can add to this list the MOBO organization, wonder what would happen if we had MOWO (Music Of White Origin).... err, we'd be racists.

So, equality... I don't think so.

Let's move on finally to sexual equality shall we. Now that really is a laugh. Personally, I believe that there are things a man can do better than a woman, and there are things that a woman can do better than a man, that's how it's supposed to be isn't it? It's what supposedly makes us work as a species, we fit together like jigsaw pieces to make a race that can do pretty much everything between us.

What's all this 'Sheila's wheels' rubbish? If we had an insurance organization that catered only for men, we'd be called sexist. The argument here is that apparently women have fewer accidents than men and so they should be rewarded with cheaper car insurance... What they don't realize though is that a good deal of women are named drivers on their husbands insurance policies so when they have a bang, the man gets the shit and the bad mark against him.

It's all bollocks.

There are still jobs that a man cannot do on grounds of sexuality, women's toilet attendant, certain women's clothing shops etc etc. Yet there are no jobs now that are exempt for women, a woman can do any job that a man can do but a man cannot do any job a woman can do.

Equality... You're aving a larf aint ya guvna.
